Thanks everyone for your support so far. I took a slight break from woodworking to recover from my pop up event, then our cat was sick for a while. RIP in peace Kaylee. Well, today I finally cleaned up the basement enough for me to function down there. I started a small project for someone, and drumroll please......... I ASSEMBLED MY NEW LATHE!

Thanks Anu for surprising me at the store yesterday and letting me upgrade my lathe. Thanks for everyone's support because that likely played a big factor in her surprise decision. I went from a shaky pre World War 2 lathe, to a brand new lathe. While this one is only half as long, it will bring me the stability and speed control I need. As a left hander, I'm also rather excited about the reverse function this one has. All the things I've made on a lathe so far was on a far less tuned machine. I'm really excited to show all of you what I'm capable of as I improve.

Finally got my saw back up and running. I finally get to have fun making things again!
