A few things we've learned from fixing other people's hardscape jobs:

✅ DO grade your site before you lay anything down. Water has to go somewhere.
❌ DON'T skip it and deal with pooling, washouts, and settling later.

✅ DO compact your base in layers. It takes longer but it stays put.
❌ DON'T just spread gravel and call it good, you'll end up with uneven pavers and low spots.

✅ DO go with natural stone if you're in an area that freezes. It holds up.
❌ DON'T cheap out on pavers, they crack and shift within a couple years and you'll redo the whole thing.
