What a joy to capture this little guy at only 2 days old! He is blessed to have the best parents (and grandparents)!!
I’m so happy for you and
A session like this, sometimes called a Fresh 48, happens around 2 days (or so) after the baby is born. It’s meant to be totally chill and relaxed, and nothing is overly posed. We just take things as they are and capture the bliss, and sometimes chaos 😘, of these first days of life. Love it!

Being a photo artist means I get to capture both the people I love working with—families, babies, couples, weddings—and the places that catch my eye along the way. I rarely leave home without my ā€œgoodā€ camera, always on the lookout for beauty, whether it’s a quiet street at dusk or a stunning landscape at sunset.

These two images are from an evening in downtown Springfield, MO, taken right after a fun senior photo session. The light had faded and I paused to take in a little calm as the hustle of our ā€œbig small townā€ was beginning to slow. I couldn’t resist photographing the scene in both color and black & white—each one tells a different story.

Do you find yourself drawn more to color or black & white photos? I’d love to hear which one speaks to you and why!

While visiting our son and daughter in law in Whidbey, I had the honor of capturing the homecoming reunion of one of their close friends, Tommy & Lizzie! I am always in awe of how the military community shows up for one another like family. Thank you for your service and - and thank you for your sweet friendship with our kids! It’s means the world to us parents!

We recently had the privilege of being at the airport with Jess to welcome Nathan home from his deployment! It was a homecoming to remember, but I wanted to be more present as Mom than a photographer, so I only captured just a few images. We are beyond thankful and proud. šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø

Family photos are my jam. I think that just means that I love it, & I know I LOVE seeing these faces every year as they grow up! Little Andilynne still hasn’t warmed up to me, though, so I might need to have a grandma play date with her before the next session so she can be sure that I’m ok. 🄰🄰
See more of my favorites in stories!

Eternally grateful she was my mother. Always and everyday I will miss her, continue to love her, and strive to be like her in so many ways. 🄰
