The closest planet to the Sun! 🌞 Mercury is the smallest planet in our solar system. The small planet’s diameter is around 4 900km. It’s surface temperatures reach a low of around -190°C 🥶and a high of around 425°C🔥. Mercury consists of around 70% metallic and 30% silicate material.

This red planet is the fourth planet from the sun. It has a diameter of around 6 800km/4 200mi!!! It’s surface temperature reaches a minimum of° -128°C/-200°F 🥶 and a maximum of 35°C/95°F 🥵. Scientist believe that the red planet can be inhabited by humans by using terraforming methods.

Did you know?
There is at least 100 billion planets in The Milky Way. Roughly 300 million of those are considered to be habitable but, only 55 potentially habitable planets have been found as of march 2020.
One of them was found orbiting the closest star to the sun, Proxima Centauri. It’s called Proxima Centauri d. It is suspected to be smaller than earth and could have oceans of water. 🌍
