I Pay Special Attention to Older Wedding Guests

I have a soft spot for older guests. Actually, I take their experience very seriously. On wedding night, I sometimes feel like the evening's caregiver for our older guests.

I'm watching whether they're comfortable. I'm watching their drinks. I'm paying attention to how much walking they're doing and whether they need anything. If an older guest's drink is getting low, I'll bring another one. They shouldn't have to repeatedly get up and make their way across the room if I can bring something to them.

If Grandma needs somewhere quieter away from the DJ, we'll find a solution. If she's cold, we keep approximately two dozen shawls available for guests to use. At one recent wedding alone, four older ladies and a baby used them. That's not something most couples think to ask about during a wedding venue tour.
