The phenomenal women of Sarah Price Temple did their thang AGAIN with their annual Easter Basket Giveaway!!! Over 300 baskets provided over 300 smiles!!!!! Very excited and proud to support!

Being a State Senator means listening closely to what our community needs and and making sure we are all represented when decisions are being made at the table.

One day I might be working on legislation. The next, I’m helping connect someone with a state resource or meeting with local leaders about opportunities for our community.

No two days in this job look exactly the same, but every conversation matters.

Congratulations to Sangamon County Democratic County Chair Diana Carlisle and her leadership team and a big Democrat welcome to our two newest elected precinct committeemen!!!

Through expanded FFA and 4-H work-study opportunities, I am making sure more students have the chance to learn about careers in farming. These programs not only go toward school credit but can open doors to real careers long term for the younger generation.

Wherever I go throughout the District the main concern I hear is regarding the lack of housing…..Cutting the ribbon on these 22 one bedroom apartments is a new beginning for 22 individuals and a community eager for their success. Heartland Housed, Fifth Street Renaissance and Helping Hands have been, and will continue to be, collaborators and in doing so ensuring the project’s success.

Happy National Pet Day to the one who fills our home with love, laughter and fur! 🐾
