Central High School - Springfield, MO

We want to introduce Mrs. Pamela Foster as an Assistant Principal here at Central High School. She is transitioning from her previous role as Coordinator of Site Interventions where she has served CHS the past 2 years. She previously served SPS as the District’s Graduation Specialist. She has over 20 years in education and is excited to serve CHS in this new role. We are excited to have her transition to this role within the administrative team.

We want to welcome Mr. Ryan Edwards as a new Assistant Principal at Central High School. He comes to Central from Ozark High School with over 17 years of educational experience. We are excited to welcome him to the administrative team!

We want to introduce Mr. Ryan DeSha who will be moving to the role of Coordinator of Site Interventions here at Central High School. Mr. DeSha is moving to this role from his role as a classroom history teacher here at CHS. He has an incredible background including military service, training and experience with at-risk programs, counseling, and intervention. We are excited to welcome him to the CHS administrative team.

CHS represented well at the Math League U.S. National Championship on Saturday! We took a team of 14 students and finished in 6th place in overall sweepstakes!

We placed 2nd in the Team Round (team of Lanie Deng, Bijayesh Prandhan, Jathin Bande, Todd Gao, Brandon Aparicio, and RJ VanAntwerp) and 3rd in the Relay Round (team of Lanie Deng, Bijayesh Prandhan, and Jathin Bande). Lanie Deng also came in 1st place out of all 10th graders and was the Countdown Round Champion.

All 14 team members worked hard this year to qualify for this competition and deserve major kudos!

Congratulations to our Esports team on winning BACK-TO-BACK State Championships in Mario Kart!
