We have spent the entire day looking at mobile homes, finished tiny homes and unfinished portable sheds to be made into a tiny home. So many decisions!
Why?
Because part of the Starfish Project is to place tiny homes on property we own to help men and women get ahead, by providing affordable housing. And, they learn as much homesteading as they desire.
We have a couple who will be ready to move in later this year, so it is important to them to get this done relatively soon.

In Springdale, Arkansas, substance misuse primarily centers around methamphetamine and prescription opioids, mirroring broader trends in Washington County. Local police note that over 60% of city arrests have been connected to drug possession, with significant increases in meth-related trafficking incidents, while overdose deaths across the state have declined from previous years.
It is an exciting time!! Looked at a house today, that God laid in our lap. More details when it is finalized.

What is a Sober Living Home and why would anyone want to stay there?
Here is what I found online...
Sober living programs, or recovery housing, provide safe, substance-free, and structured living environments for individuals transitioning from addiction treatment to independent living. These homes emphasize peer support, accountability through regular drug screenings, and house rules like curfews and chores. They are typically self-pay and privately operated rather than government-funded.
Key Components of Sober Living Programs
Structure and Safety: Residents must stay sober, often with random testing to ensure a secure environment.
Peer Support: Living with others in recovery provides a strong community for navigating challenges without substance use.
Accountability: Residents share household chores, attend mandatory house meetings, and adhere to set curfews.
Bridging Treatment to Independence: These homes fill the gap between intensive treatment (rehab) and living independently, allowing residents to work or attend school.
