1. The sending address is not affiliated with USPS.

2. The domain in the link should end with USPS.com not anything else. In this case the domain is helpci.com.

3. Lastly they would message the sender or just return it if the address was incomplete.

Long story short: scammers are using AI to make deepfakes of your voice and convincing your friends and family that you’re in jail, have been kidnapped, ect.

I would suggest having a code word established with your family and close friends, a word that doesn’t come up in normal conversation that would be required to verify identity.

As always don’t be afraid to hang up and call the person back. If they really have been arrested the call will be from the jail and you can call directly to the facility.
