Perform skilled technical work in the installation, repair, replacement, and maintenance of domestic water systems, heating water systems, sanitary sewer systems, storm sewers, gas pipe (both threaded and fusion welded), steam and condensate pipes, and fire protection systems following recognized procedures and techniques of the plumbing trade. Maintain the heating, water, gas and plumbing systems using hand and power tools such as sewer auger or vacuum plunger, acetylene torch, soldering and welding equipment, sewer camera, pipe locator, and related plumbing tools. Practice preventive maintenance of plumbing tools and equipment, and complies with federal regulations governing environmental protection, hazardous waste disposal and the use of chemical substances and materials common to the plumbing trade. Monitor and report maintenance issues needing attention to the appropriate authority.
