Ok yall told me to let you know how I like it so here it isā¦..
I have to buy another bag!
Between putting it in my coffee every day and adding it to sauces, ground beef, eggs and soups, Iām loving closing the gap on my protein every day - just with this little hack.
Again, Iāve been looking for a clean protein with no fillers, nothing extra - for forever! I didnāt know that it actually existed!
Because itās 100% bovine protein, it cooks so well into food, doesnāt become chalky. Exactly what I was looking for.
Do you want to give it a try to? I put the link in the comments.
P.S. I love the bars too ā the peanut butter is my favorite.š„°

Someone had quite an adventure today!
Iām leaving in a couple weeks to go see Emma and while my 4 can go to the regular sitter, since the Prince is a medical foster, we went to meet ANOTHER foster family for him to stay with while I am gone. And they are just perfect!
Then we stopped at Petco because I needed worms for Graceās lizard š and I think it was his first time ever in a store and he lost his mind. Just stood at aisles looking, wanted everyone to pet him ( and he was quite popular!) and then he just put his face up against a bin that has this stuffy in it like āplleeeeaaaassseeee momā.
We came home with it of course, he had a good bath and is cuddled up for the night.
Heās such a good boy š„°

Did a quick sushi demo at my networking meeting today and shared a sneak peek of what a sushi making party could look like. š£
And these new snack boxes might be my new favorite way to serve everything.
Now I just need a few people who want to host one! šāāļø

Introducing Prince Adam (aka The Beast).
Our house guest for a couple months, I am guessing.
Awful skin condition, cauliflower ear from many untreated ear infections, severely underweight, upper respiratory infection, eye infectionsā¦and unaltered of course.
But he is a gentle beast, starved for human contact.
Interested in the other dogs, but not in their face.
But he has to be in so much pain, so uncomfortable and for it to be this bad, itās been for a long time.
His skin is just red and inflamed and scabbed and plaquey.
ļæ¼ So we will just be gentle back; gently bathing him several times a week, gently putting eye ointments in a couple times a day, gently cleaning his deep folds in his faceā¦.
ļæ¼And gently loving him back to health.
Canāt wait to see what a gentlemen he turns into š¾.

Traveling today and needed to pull out the BIG VACATION suitcase.
Not that this is a big vacation but have a lot to bring where Iām going!
And had to laugh and the history hanging from this bag.
Several Pampered Chef trips and the ribbons are from 2 different treks across Europe with the girls and their high school groups.
Itās pretty beat up too! Might be time for a new one. But the places this one has been to!

I just spent the last hour on the phone with a man I hadnāt talked to in years.
Heās the husband of a woman who used to host cooking shows with me at least once a year. He never stayed for the parties, but I know Iād met him before. Somehow heās been getting my emails ā turns out his wife mustāve placed an order under his email at some point years ago.
He called because he needed pan scrapers. I told him I had a few gently used ones here and Iād just send them so he didnāt have to pay shipping.
What I didnāt expect⦠was the conversation that followed.
He shared that his wife has been in a nursing home with dementia for the last six years. That heās moved. That heās had some significant health challenges. How things are going with his grown kids. And he just⦠talked. And talked. And talked.
When we hung up, I was overwhelmed with gratitude.
This is what always happened when I did cooking shows ā especially when I was invited back into the same home year after year. I never once took it for granted that someone would let me into the most personal, vulnerable place in their home: their kitchen. That they would hand it over to me for a few hours. And beyond that, trust me enough to invite their friends and family into their space too.
Over 25 years, Iāve watched hosts get married, have babies, lose loved ones, move, grow older. Some have passed. And now this sweet woman ā someone who once welcomed me into her home ā lives in a nursing home.
It made me realize something: somewhere along the way, I stopped being āthe cooking show lady.ā I became family. And that feeling was mutual.
So many of you reading this are part of that extended family. Youāve welcomed me in. Supported me. Laughed with me. Cooked with me. Grown alongside me.
And as I write this with tears in my eyes, I just want to say thank you.
I am so deeply grateful and honored to have been invited into your homes ā past, present, and future. And I look forward to many more times gathered around kitchens and tables with your friends and families⦠cooking, eating, drinking, and sharing life.
Because thatās what itās all about, right?
Food brings us together.
Happy New Year. š
