Why Mezzo Poodles?

This is Allie and me, cuddled up on our pallet right next to the whelping box. She’s sound asleep, and I’ll be right here watching a movie beside her today.

Because to us, our dogs are family first.

We have the time and energy to give our mommas exactly what they need throughout pregnancy, whelping, and raising their puppies. If that means laying on the floor and cuddling with Mom for hours because that’s where she wants us, that’s exactly where we’ll be.

Our girls aren’t just part of a breeding program. They live in our home, sleep on our couches, follow us around, and are deeply loved members of our family.

We believe the way puppies are raised starts long before they’re born. It starts with a momma who feels safe, comfortable, supported, and loved.

That’s the heart behind Mezzo Poodles.

It’s finally time to officially introduce our upcoming Allie × Nash litter theme!

With these babies arriving right as we start dreaming about cooler weather, pumpkin patches, cozy flannels, warm spices, and everything we love about fall, there really couldn’t be a more perfect name for them…

Allie is officially in the home stretch, and now we’re just waiting for her to tell us it’s time. 🐾

Yesterday we took a couple of the Mezzo poodles out for a practice dock diving session! 💦🐩

Our crew mostly focused on getting comfortable with the water and building confidence, but we had a friend join us who is clearly ready to COMPETE! 🚀😂

Such a fun way to try something new. We’ll definitely be back for more dock days! 🐾🌊

We got our little peek at the babies today and our hearts are absolutely bursting 🤎

Allie had her puppy count X-ray, which means we’ve officially reached one of the most exciting milestones in this journey. There’s something so magical about this moment… gathering around the image, tracing tiny spines and skulls, and trying to imagine just how many little lives she has been so lovingly carrying. 👀✨

We are expecting puppies this weekend, which means we are officially in the sweetest, most exciting stretch of the countdown. Every day feels a little more special now. Allie is doing wonderfully, resting, relaxing, and being her calm, beautiful self while we prepare everything for the arrival of her babies.

The anticipation is truly building, and we love getting to share every step of this journey with all of you who care so deeply right alongside us. 🤎

Coming soon to Mezzo Poodles 🐩

Teddy (Zephyr from our Liminal Litter) is spending a few days with us while his family is out of town, so he got to join us and some friends for a trip to the park.

It has been such a joy getting to see him again. He has grown into the sweetest, happiest boy, and it is always rewarding to watch our puppies come back with so much confidence and love for life.

Seeing updates is one thing, but getting to spend time with them again is a special reminder of why we do what we do. We love you, Teddy.

Two sweet updates from our Liminal Litter!

Sebastian (formerly Shade) and Penny (formerly Dawn) are both thriving in their new homes. They’re playful, friendly, confident, and learning something new every day. Seeing our puppies settle into families that love them and continue investing in their growth is one of the most rewarding parts of breeding.

We love getting these updates and can’t wait to watch these two continue to grow into amazing dogs.

Valkyrie has officially joined the ranks of River Poodle, with her first trip to the Guadalupe River in the books. We had a feeling she would be a happy girl at the river with how obsessed she is with the water bowl and the kiddie pool we have for them. She did so good. She even jumped in a couple times. She’s definitely a sporty little girl ready for adventure. It’s such a treat to watch Allie x Uno’s little girl grow into such a confident young pup.

Teddy (Zephyr from Liminal Litter) is here boarding this weekend and we have thrown in some training while he is here. Look at him being the best boy.

Ellie clocked in today… and honestly, she crushed it.

She tagged along to help with a client session, showed off her good brain, her patience, and her “I totally know what I’m doing” energy. She’s one of those dogs who just gets it and loves being part of the process.

But the best part?
Getting paid.

Her reward was a full sniff walk, and if you know, you know. Nose down, tail doing its thing, taking in every single scent like it’s the most important investigation of the day. No rush, no pressure… just being a dog.

This is something we really value for our dogs. They don’t just train, they get to decompress, explore, and enjoy the world in a way that actually fulfills them.

Work hard. Sniff harder. 🐾
