I didn’t realize at the time that this was also how I was posting online. That’s the part that really gets me now.

Because before this, I thought visibility was a strategy problem.
Maybe I needed better hooks?
Better messaging.
Better positioning.

Meanwhile I was literally treating visibility the exact same way I treated intimacy.
Carefully managed.
Emotionally pre-packaged.

Giving people enough of me to admire.
Enough of me to desire.
Enough of me to be impressed by.
But not enough of me to fully be seen.

And I think a lot of women are doing this without realizing it.
Trying to look emotionally stable instead of honest.
Trying to look healed instead of human.
Trying to look low-maintenance instead of actually being met.
Trying to become desirable while avoiding being vulnerable.

That was me.

Until I started understanding that being seen is *relational.*
It’s who you become in the presence of another person.

👉🏾What you hide.
👉🏾How you stay the same.
👉🏾How you change yourself.

And once I started recognizing the role of the other, I actually felt more of myself.

It wasn’t this scary thing or this performative thing anymore.
It felt natural.
Like something we forgot how to do.

That realization changed my relationships.
My visibility.
My business.
Everything.

Because what we hide is usually what they want.
