Are you doing some mid-summer cleaning and have found gently used home goods or furnishings you would like to donate? Please consider us! We are having a BIG DONATIONS TWO-DAY EVENT on Friday, August 7 and Saturday, August 8 from 10am - 2pm both days (4718 N Ash, our entrance is in the back alley, look for the long covered ramp and our doors are at the top). Our showroom is rather sparse, and we are hoping to load up on inventory going into the fall months. Please help us spread the word!

We accept gently used and new home goods and furnishings. Please no stains, broken or missing pieces. In addition to the needs below, we love home decor, live and silk plants, lamps, wall art, etc. THANK YOU!

DONATION DAYS EXTRAVAGANZA - Friday, August 7 and Satruday, August 8 both days 10a - 2pm.

We are taking the next few weeks off to take a much needed break. Our small but mighty team needs some rest after the loss of our beloved co-founder, Julie Silbar and some medical challenges several of our team members are currently dealing with. BUT, we will be back in August and ready to take donations!

We need everything that helps setup a home when someone is exiting homelessness and has nothing.

Top needs include:

Couches (no sectionals, please - unless they separate and can go into two separate rooms)
Dressers
Pots and pans with lids
Kitchen utensils and holders
Toasters
Silverware
Bed Pillows (new only, please)
Bath mats
Baking sheets

We need silverware! Doesn’t have to match or be new. We especially need daily ware knives. If you have silverware to donate, please call us at 509-859-8545 to make an appointment to drop off your donation. Please note we are an all volunteer organization and it may take a day or two for us to return your call. If you are inclined to buy new, our wishlist is in the comments. Thank you!

We learned in our first year that donations slow down to a crawl during the winter months. So we are working on building our storage systems to stock up on essential such as toasters, coffee pots, linens, etc. Thanks to our volunteer Lisa A for finding us two more shelving units and for volunteer board member Colton (pictured here) for providing lots of muscle today to unload donations and help us get well organized and ready for winter. Yes, we are saying this when summer hasn’t started yet. Ha!

Tomorrow, Saturday, June 6 is the day to bring us your gently used home good and furniture! 10am - 2pm at 4718 N Ash (our entrance is in the back!).
All of our donations are provided to folks who are exiting homelessness and a client of one of our partner organizations. Your donations make a huge impact on the lives of others!

It is with absolutely broken hearts that we share the news of the passing of Dr. Julie Silbar, one of our co-founders.

Julie was diagnosed with cancer six weeks after our first shopper came to our showroom and got everything they needed for their new home after exiting homelessness. While fighting her battle, she never stopped loving Next Chapter and continued to dream of all we would build together.

For the next couple of weeks we are going to take a break, including cancelling a few of our donation days, while we grieve. Please continue to watch this page for updates. We will return and build Next Chapter into all Julie dreamed it could be. 💜
