Recently, The New York City Marathon took place where nearly 50,000 people lined up at the starting line to run 26.2 miles. Running a marathon is HARD. There is no doubt about that. However, it’s likely to assume that each person who ran that race had been training for months on end. You only see the race, but you don’t see the beginning where someone makes the to start training. Whether that be setting goals to run a certain number of miles each day, making sure to get good sleep each night, or fueling their bodies properly for training, it’s the little easy commitments we make overtime that make the hard things start to seem easier. Every person that crossed that finish line felt the fulfillment of crushing a hard goal. The easy things take patience and dedication, but through consistency, we are rewarded with the ability to accomplish the hard things. If you want to learn more about the concept of easy vs. hard, tune into the Hoop Commitment Podcast to hear how you can start committing to the easy things.
