According to Realtor.com, the week of April 12–18 tends to bring more buyer activity, faster sales, and fewer price reductions compared to a typical week. Well-prepared homes can even see a small lift in price.
That said, timing is only part of the equation. The homes that perform best are the ones that are ready. Clean, well-presented, and priced correctly.
Spring is the season where momentum builds. This just happens to be one of the strongest moments within it.

For the past few years, affordability has been the biggest reason buyers hit pause. But that trend is starting to shift.
New data from First American shows affordability has improved in all 50 states over the past year, with gains in 48 of the top 50 metro areas.
That does not mean buying is suddenly easy. But it does mean conditions are moving in a better direction. More inventory, more options, and more room to negotiate are helping bring the math back into range for more buyers.
If you stepped out of the market before, it may be worth taking another look. The numbers today might work differently than you expect.

According to Redfin, over 70% of canceled contracts are tied to issues that come up during the home inspection. And in today’s market, buyers have the flexibility to walk away if something does not feel right.
That is why preparation matters more than ever. The homes that sell are the ones that feel solid, well cared for, and transparent from the start.
Sometimes that means making a few key repairs. Sometimes it means knowing what to disclose. And in some cases, it means doing a pre-listing inspection so there are no surprises later.

Buyer activity picks up, and this year it’s being supported by mortgage rates near three year lows. According to Redfin, purchase applications are already near their highest level in years.
More buyers means more interest, more offers, and typically a faster sale. Realtor.com data shows homes sell about 20 days quicker in the spring.
Nothing is guaranteed, but if you are thinking about selling, this is when momentum is on your side.
