So I’m editing a video and had to download some old episodes for it. I ran across this blooper reel from January of 2018 and just couldn’t help but share. 😅

Don’t blink! 😢

Feeling a little nostalgic today as I clean the garage alone. Sooo many memories as I look around at what Nathaniel and I accomplished in here over the last 8+ years together. And we couldn’t have done it without all our friends, both new and old. 🙏🏻 Feeling blessed beyond measure and am grateful for all the memories we made. 🥹

Encouragement from our kids:

These pics were taken 10 years ago today. A 12 year old Nathaniel and I had just begun work on my high school Monza Spyder and we discovered a LOT more rust than I’d expected to see. He and I spent a few hours scraping close to 3 gallons of grime and undercoating off the underside of my car, and the more we scraped, the more rust that was exposed. Discouraged, I made an offhanded comment that we might be fighting a losing battle. He stopped scraping, took my hand, pointed and said, “Hey Dad!... A little hint... You see that spot there?” ( pointing to a rust hole) “Start there!” He continued, “...and then when you’re done with that, start over there.” Pointing my hand to a third spot, I understood where he was going with this; “...and then over there... And then there...” I smiled and mumbled to myself, “Just like eating an elephant.” Not realizing he overheard me, he chimed right in and replied, “Yep! One bite at a time!”

How about that!... He’d been listening to me after all. 😊

Now, the sad part of this story is that my car is STILL on that rotisserie with little done to it since. 😞

Nathaniel moved to Arkansas hoping to get away from the colder up here in Indiana, but just look at these pics I got from him and his girlfriend, Bri, this morning. 🥶 ❄️

So there’s a 2016 trend going on right now apparently, but I’m going to change things up a bit since Nathaniel and I actually began our journey together in the garage 9 years ago (2017). Here are some fun throwbacks to the earliest days of Spyder Garage! And as a bonus, 2017 was the year our friendship with Aaron & Emily Reeves began as well. (standing with them both at SEMA 2017 in this pic)

What an adventure it’s been!

Who remembers Miles version 1.5 from 5 1/2 years ago? This was our Covered Bridge “Corona” Cruise from May 16, 2020 that started at our house.

It started early with an all-nighter as Nathaniel and I worked hard to finish Miles for the reveal you see in this video. Everyone loved Miles!

My good friend Bruce Dixon reminded me of this day yesterday and it was such a fun day I thought I’d repost it! Enjoy!

BONUS DETAIL: We promptly wrecked Miles about 2 hours later as Nathaniel and Cale were sliding around a gravel road corner, taking out a mailbox and jumping a ditch backwards. No one was hurt, but we did NOT feature that part in our music video. 😉

My 10th year at PRI and I barely got any pics, but here are a few. One big family reunion, while also finally getting to meet James and Caroline from . What a joy to spend the day with them! Had planned on returning the last day but snow and sickness kept me home but thankful for the time I had. Until next year.

NOTE: That last pic was them “pointing” out that I was not present for Mark’s pizza party. 😞 😅
