We just got this email from UPS regarding "phishing". I have also been called regarding many texts supposedly from FedEx that have been "phishing" as well.

We want to help you avoid being a victim of fraud

Fraudulent communications adopt many different forms and are the unauthorized actions of third parties. These messages, sometimes referred to as "phishing" or "spoofing", are becoming more common and may appear legitimate by incorporating company brands, colors, or other legal disclaimers. We take fraud and the protection of our customers' information seriously. We want to help make sure you don’t fall victim to phishing or other types of fraudulent activity whether it’s through email, text, phone, or social media.

Here are some tips to keep in mind:

UPS will not request personal information, financial information, account numbers, IDs, passwords or copies of invoices in an unsolicited manner through email, mail, text, phone or fax, especially in exchange for the transportation of goods and services.

If you receive a message that appears to be from UPS that you believe is fraudulent, send a screenshot of the message or forward it to [email protected] for investigation.

Today we will talk about Amazon return options. Many people have been coming in with the square barcode on their phone or printed. Unfortunately, that is not something we can produce a label for at the Business and Shipping Center of Southbury. If you would like to use our services there is a way we can help. When you are doing your return don't click on the no printer no problem option. There is a link to other options. Go to that link and click print your own label. Even if you do not have a printer you can forward the label to us at [email protected] and we can print out the traditional label for you. We accept dropoffs and pre-paid labels for UPS, FedEx, USPS and DHL every day. We thank you for your business and apologize for any inconvenience this new Amazon return process has caused.

We will be closing at 3:00 pm Christmas eve.

Southbury Community Lions will be having a Shred Your Documents Day Saturday October 27th 9-12 at the Union Square Plaza Parking Lot. 385 Main St S Southbury. It is $10.00 per bankers box.
