Meet Winston... He's so amazing for grooming. We discovered quickly he prefers to be on the swing for face trimming. He's calm and relaxed and let's your scissor away. Standing however, is a hard pass. Work with the dog in front of you.

Sorry, not sorry... you're brushing wrong.

We've noticed a huge uptick in dogs arriving with hidden matting because parents are only brushing the top layer of coat.

If your brush glides easily across the surface, that doesn't automatically mean your dog is mat-free. Mats love to hide underneath, close to the skin, especially behind the ears, under the collar, in the armpits, chest, belly, and legs.

Brush in layers. Part the coat. Get all the way to the skin. Then follow up with a comb.

If a comb can't get through it, neither can we.

Your dog's comfort depends on what happens between grooming appointments. Don't just fluff the top—brush what you can't see.

It's all about the entrance, am I right?! Coconut likes to be a statement and boy we love her for that!
