Ok everyone, we are going to try this again. We are going to be giving away (2) 6' Christmas Trees. One for yourself and you have to donate the 2nd tree to a charity of your choice.

Summary: The Retail Staff provides leadership, creativity, and enthusiasm to drive an exceptional customer experience. You will support the retail management in implementing a high-quality work environment that establishes and maintains long-term customer relationships that always exceed the customer's expectations.

Responsibilities:

Ensure that each customer receives outstanding customer service by greeting and acknowledging every customer, and going above and beyond to establish a memorable shopping experience.

Create merchandise presentations, and ensure signing is current and displayed properly.

Help customers find merchandise in the nursery, be able to answer plant related customer questions, complete sales at the register.

Qualifications/requirements:

Candidates must be sales driven and have a passion for horticulture, yard/home décor, and seasonal merchandise.
Minimum of 3 years in a nursery/garden environment
Exceptionally cheerful, positive, and outgoing personality
Must be willing to work weekends and holidays
Computer proficient

Are you hard working? Are you outgoing? Can you lead, inspire, and motivate? Toadflax Nursery is looking for a few positive, enthusiastic nursery yard associates who know and love plants. Our nursery yard associates are responsible for watering and general upkeep of our nursery stock (trees, shrubs, flowers, etc.)

to be considered for the position, you must:

-have basic experience with trees, shrubs, plants, etc.

-be able to lift 60+lbs on a regular basis

-be able to be on your feet for an extended period of time

-be able to work in the elements (heat of summer/greenhouses)

-have a valid drivers license

🌸Boy do we have Peonies! 🌸

The Backstory of the Peony:

Two Greek myths describe the meaning of the peony. They are as different as night and day, but both stories are entertaining, nonetheless. Both tales indicate that the peony received its name from Greek mythology.

In the first story, Paeon was the physician to the gods. He made his teacher mad when he took the liquid of a plant to cure Pluto. The teacher, Asclepius, was jealous of Paeon because he was the god of healing. When Zeus heard Asclepius’ plan to kill Paeon, he turned the physician into a flower he called a peony.

The other Greek myth is about a nymph named Paeonia. She was so extraordinarily stunning that she won the interest of Apollo, the son of Zeus. Aphrodite, the goddess of beauty, grew jealous of Paeonia and turned her into the peony flower.
