This is the worst thing that can happen, a leak under a driveway. Sadly enough, this is not uncommon. If this sprinkler system was installed properly the first time, there would have been no need for this "Very Costly" repair
Now the mainline and controller wire is protected by a Sch 40 pvc sleeve 24'' underground. They wont have that problem ever again. Avoid nightmares like this and get it done right the first time. If it's already too late, at least get it repaired the right way.

Ditch Witch Vibratory plows installs pipe and wire directly into the ground without trenching and damaging existing lawns.

The picture below shows 2 valve manifold assemblies. On the right side are manifold tee's that screw together and have rubber o-rings that go bad after just a few years and need to be replaced, These tees are commonly used by contractors because they are less expensive and they "create" a lot of costly service calls to replace those O rings all the time. That system was just 5 years old and 6 of the 8 manifold tees leaked and needed to be replaced. This common practice cost the homeowner $100's of dollars to fix.

On the left is our high standard valve manifold assembly that is custom built and used on every sprinkler system that Elite Irrigation installs. Solid PVC-Schedule-40-Manifold-Tee- with no rubber seals to go bad. The tees are sealed with the best PVC glue and primer on the market. "Cristy's" The average life of our manifold assemblies are unknown. After 30 years, we haven't had one leak yet. Elite Irrigation will never use inferior parts!!
