The Southern Virginia Higher Education Foundation is the fundraising arm of the SVHEC. With the generosity of donors, we raise funds for student scholarships, faculty program support and areas of greatest need, within the Center.
This corporation is organized and operated exclusively to promote and enhance continuing educational opportunities for the citizens of Southern Virginia, and surrounding areas and to carry out other exclusively charitable, educational, and scientific purposes.

The Global Center for Automotive Performance Solutions (GCAPS) offers internship and $5,000 scholarship to Virginia Tech students.
Qualified students are those enrolling in their Junior year at Virginia Tech and are a resident of the City of Danville, Pittsylvania County, or Halifax County.

It was Halloweenie Time in October 2021 when students and staff members from Southern Virginia Higher Education Center , Southern Virginia Higher Education Foundation , Southside Virginia Community College, Danville Community College and Old Dominion University and Longwood University had a *Halloweenie Time*, dressing in costumes, eating 🌭 🌭 hotdogs and enjoying great fellowship with one another in the Courtyard at the Center.
