October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Domestic Violence is a pattern of one person trying to dominate or control another person. Domestic Violence does not discriminate. It affects people from all backgrounds. It is also the leading cause of injury to women between the ages of 15 and 44. According to VDH, Over one-third of homicides occurring in Virginia are related to domestic violence. Domestic Violence is not just a women's issue....it's a family, community, and national issue. The need to raise awareness has never been more crucial.

Help us speak out against Domestic Violence by “going purple” on October 21st!
