Coffee, anyone?? Did you know…

Monday through Friday, our Coffee Cart ☕️ visits each room at Beacon Health’s Children’s Hospital to offer juice, snacks, coffee, books, toys, and more to our families while they’re away from the House.

It’s just one more way we keep families comfortable and supported during the most critical times of their lives. ❤️

At RMHC Michiana, our goal is to feel as close to home as possible for families in our community who have a sick or injured child receiving hospital care at Beacon Health. 🏥

Our mission is to offer a place to rest, recharge, and stay close during the most critical times for local families. 🙏 And because of the generosity of our community, we can offer this FREE of charge.

We had some wonderful visitors this week...

Thank you to our friends at Cintas Corporation for their donation of LifeVac kits. 💙 These devices are used in choking events and have saved over 4,000 lives and counting.

We're so grateful to the team at North Woods Village at Edison Lakes for their generous donation. 💌 Every dollar donated stays right here in Michiana to serve local families.

We were lucky enough to see our pals from St Jude Youth Ministry back again this summer to volunteer. 🙌 We love to see them year after year!

The team at Grand Design RV put their cooking skills to the test and served dinner at the House last night. 🍽️

And, finally, give your best pageant wave 👋 to Miss Dowagiac and her court from the Miss Dowagiac Scholarship Pageant . Amelia, Meg, and Lauren spent some time touring the House, talking with families, and learning about our mission.

Meet Malachi...and his new pal "Big Malachi" 👋

Each year, the South Bend Cubs and Beacon Health honor six brave kids treated at Beacon and first up this season is 6-year-old Malachi! 💙⚾

Born with cerebral palsy, Malachi’s journey is extraordinary — not only has he overcome major medical challenges, but he was also adopted by the NICU nurse, Amber, who once cared for him. 🙌 Now, he's a sports-loving, big-hearted kid who's making friends all over town.

We had the best time introducing little Malachi to our friend "Big" Malachi Fields of ND Football while he spent some time at the House with us. We’re so proud to celebrate his journey and a new friendship. 👏 👏

Thanks to our meal donors for making sure our menu was planned and prepped. 🙏 And of course, a HUGE round of applause to our tireless volunteers for ✨916 hours of service in May! 👏👏

Through our 1,000+ RMHC programs around the world, we strive to meet the unique needs of families all along their children’s healthcare journey, addressing the importance of proximity, involvement, education and partnership in meeting those needs. 💙🌍

Happy 🌎 Today we are celebrating the millions of incredible RMHC families around the world like Marc and Pierre's! In 2022, they welcomed three sons through surrogacy; the birth of their first son in Mexico and premature twins in Canada. They traveled almost 4,000 miles from France to Canada while their premature twin boys were being treated. Over the course of 8 weeks, Ronald McDonald House Charities Toronto provided Marc and Pierre with the essential support and resources they needed to ensure the best health outcomes for their boys. 💙

Happy Mother's Day to all mothers, grandmothers and guardians! 💙💐 Please join us in celebrating the incredible bravery, resilience, and strength of RMHC mothers all around the world! 💐

One of the most important things that RMHC provides for families is community with other families going through similar experiences 💙 In the case of Thu, Nhi, and Trang, their families all traveled separately from Vietnam and happened to meet while receiving care and support at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Connecticut & Western Massachusetts! 🥰

Join us in celebrating Indi and her family as they head back home! 🎉 While Indi received treatment at a nearby hospital, her family found strength and support at RMHC. For 270 nights, Ronald McDonald House Newcastle provided them with physical and emotional support so they could focus on Indi's health. 💙

RMHC gives families the space needed to rest and recharge so they can be the best advocates for their child, all while connecting with other families facing similar struggles. Playing, resting, and supporting each other forms bonds that can last forever. 💙
