Weather cooled down enough to finally give my Seiko Presage Cocktail a good wearing, and going to church seemed as a good a place to give this a test drive. No sweaty wrist I’m glad to say, it was super comfortable and I love how the face changes between silver and light blue depending on the light. Simple, elegant, and super happy with this as my first real “dress watch”.

We have a soap tub kill on Barrister and Mann Nordost! A beautiful citrus scent, this was an easy one to use every week and it was great just sticking with one set up every shave and take the guesswork out of what I should use. The question now is, what do I do with the remaining aftershave, there’s still like 60-70% of the bottle left! Let me know your suggestions in the comments.

First it was fragrances a few weeks ago and now the watch bug has bitten me again! I’m currently trying to round out my watch collection with some missing pieces and was surprised I didn’t have a proper dress watch in the mix and after some hunting, found a great deal on this Seiko Presage SRPB43 Cocktail Time on eBay which even came with a swapped out black crocodile-style strap, which I was going to pick up already! Very psyched for this addition as it had been on my wishlist and can’t wait to use it in a proper dressy situation 🤵

Yes, I’m still alive and yes I’m still wetshaving! I’ve been using the same gear mostly, using what I already have, and trying to kill soap tubs, like the wonderful Nordost from Barrister and Mann! I’m one week late, but thanks to everyone who joined last week’s live shave (and to anyone who caught the replay! HoM Kryptonite has such a bright, uplifting note of lime, and is just a fun soap to use with its neon green hue. Stay tuned for another live shave this week!

Another one bites the dust: Speick aftershave saw some heavy use this summer, not just to finish out this fantastic little bottle, but it easily paired with whatever shave soap or cream I used. Also, it was just a refreshing and cooling scent that was pleasant in the high heat!

I’ll eventually get another bottle, but my next “use with anything” aftershave to go after is the classic green Proraso splash!
