So many ways to support our local artists and businesses this week! On Thursday, we have Open Mic Night. Friday Night is the Songs of Smithville Record Release Celebration and Saturday we'll have local singer/musician Mike Roberts perform.

We'll also feature Lori's Gumbo with pork sausage from our farm. It also has boudin, andouille, large shrimp, okra, and more veggies. Yum! Pair it with some incredible wine and enjoy this wonderful time of year.

This year as I am doing my yearly album review, looking at the best albums released in 2023, I decided to do a special podcast episode on the best new albums by Texas musicians and bands. If you released a new record this year, know someone who did, or just really enjoyed listening to a new album this year, add the artist and album title in the comments and I'll give it a listen. We're very excited to announce that we just booked Blues Guitarist Alastair Greene Live at the Fat Cat Lounge. Alastair just finished his last record Alive in the New World with Tab Benoit on Tab's Whiskey Bayou Label.
