Now that we have entered into the Winter season of the New Year, it is important not to let your pool plumbing or equipment freeze.

When temperatures drop below 32°F, running your pool pump continuously can help prevent pipe freezing and equipment damage. Insulating exposed pipes as an added measure can also help.

Be sure to maintain proper water levels and remove debris from skimmer and pump baskets.

Definitely keep your services all year.
When pools turn green it can stain your pool walls and floor. Also green to cleans can take from 7 days to 2 weeks or longer. During that time your pumps break or leak which will also set you back with opening your pool. It's always better to have your pumps working through the cycles, that way if there is a problem I catch it right away.

Sticks, debris and unfortunately critters fall in and tear liners or more havoc where the pool would need to be drained and refilled. That adds more time to get the salt or chemicals back to normal levels.
