And so concludes the 2026 Fight Director Training Workshop! We had fifteen fight directors come together for intensive artistic and professional development, honing their craft together through a variety of creative challenges. We are humbled by the cohort's intentionality, vulnerability, and collaboration, and we are pleased to see what they will do next.

This Saturday, the FDTW coordinators are hosting an info session for anybody interested in applying to or learning more about the 2026 Fight Director Training Workshop. The Fight Director Training Workshop returns this spring to the Silver Spring Black Box just north of Washington, DC!

The Fight Director Training Workshop (March 5-9, 2026) is a 5-day intensive focusing exclusively on diving into the art and craft of the fight director. Led by experienced and working fight directors, the workshop features special topics classes focused on expanding your choreographic toolkit and developing your own working process and style. Interspersed with these classes are choreographic lab sessions where you can put class topics into immediate use alongside your fellow workshop participants.
