The Real Wishes Foundation supported over 12 charities this month. CCS programs were among those charities. Together, the community continues to do great things for those in need. Thank You, Real Wishes Foundation!

Real Wishes Foundation was fortunate to be able to donate $500 to twelve different charities, ten in Sierra Vista and two in Bisbee. Representatives from Good Neighbor Alliance, Forgach House, Humanitarians of Southeast Arizona, Lori's Place, Jennifer's House, Catholic Community Service - Foster Children Program, A Tree 4 Christmas, St. Vincent de Paul Society, and Peaches Pantry were able to meet on Friday to receive their checks. Goar Park Lunches and Vehelst House are the Bisbee recipients and Real Wishes' Relay for Life team received their check on Thursday night at the Relay Wrap Up. It was amazing to watch the networking between these organizations!

Sarah Pacheco, SV City Council

My daughter Mckayla accompanied me to the Forgash House benefit dinner this evening. This cause is dear to my heart. An estimated 1.3 million women are victims of assault by an intimate partner every year in the US. Communities may not want to have the need for a women and children's shelter, but recent local events highlighted this need exists here. I'm grateful we have organizations in our town willing to stand up to violence and provide a safe place for victims.

I currently have the privilege to work for a company that recognizes the importance of providing victim advocate services in every community where we are located. I assisted in bringing in funding to provide additional licensed advocates to our area and have been able to take part in hosting candle light vigils and awareness activities in our county for the past couple of years. It is both heart breaking and encouraging to hear the stories of individuals in our midst who have been able to overcome so much. Each survivor I have met renews the my passion to do my part to #StoptheViolence.

I am grateful for the proactive efforts of our law enforcement agencies who are working to end the violence. I encourage you to learn more about the Forgash House, which is supported by Catholic Community Services - Sierra Vista and/or donate to their cause!
