DEPRESSION TIPS:
Shower. Not a bath, a shower. Use water as hot or cold as you like. You don’t even need to wash. Just get in under the water and let it run over you for a while. Sit on the floor if you gotta.
Moisturize everything. Use whatever lotion you like. Unscented? Dollar store lotion? Fancy 48 hour lotion that makes you smell like a field of wildflowers? Use whatever you want, and use it all over your entire dermis.
Put on clean, comfortable clothes.
Put on your favorite underwear. Cute black lacy panties? Those ridiculous boxers you bought last christmas with candy cane hearts on the butt? Put them on.
Drink cold water. Use ice. If you want, add some mint or lemon for an extra boost.
Clean something. Doesn’t have to be anything big. Organize one drawer of a desk. Wash five dirty dishes. Do a load of laundry. Scrub the bathroom sink.
Blast music. Listen to something upbeat and dancey and loud, something that’s got lots of energy. Sing to it, dance to it, even if you suck at both.
Make food. Don’t just grab a granola bar to munch. Take the time and make food. Even if it’s ramen. Add something special to it, like a soft boiled egg or some veggies. Prepare food, it tastes way better, and you’ll feel like you accomplished something.
Make something. Write a short story or a poem, draw a picture, color a picture, fold origami, crochet or knit, sculpt something out of clay, anything artistic. Even if you don’t think you’re good at it. Create.
Go outside. Take a walk. Sit in the grass. Look at the clouds. Smell flowers. Put your hands in the dirt and feel the soil against your skin.
Call someone. Call a loved one, a friend, a family member, call a chat service if you have no one else to call. Talk to a stranger on the street. Have a conversation and listen to someone’s voice. If you can’t bring yourself to call, text or email or whatever, just have some social interaction with another person. Even if you don’t say much, listen to them. It helps.
Cuddle your pets if you have them/can cuddle them. Take pictures of them. Talk to them. Tell them how you feel, about your favorite movie, a new game coming out, anything.
May seem small or silly to some, but this list keeps people alive.
*** At your absolute best you won’t be good enough for the wrong people. But at your worst, you’ll still be worth it to the right ones. Remember that. Keep holding on.
*** In case nobody has told you today I Love you and you are worth your weight and then some in gold, so be kind to yourself and most of all keep pushing on!!!!
***People don’t fake depression.. they fake being ok.

You were not meant to mother your child who died alone.
I did die that day. Who I am now is not the same person. What about you?
Suicidal After The Loss Of My Child: And I Survived - Still Standing Magazine I survived the desire to die by su***de after the loss of my child. That doesn't make me weak, and it surely doesn't make me strong.
Such good information.
Have you ever thought this?
People may think that postpartum anxiety (or PPA) is just worrying a lot. Or they may not even realize that PPA is a disorder!
Here's what postpartum anxiety actually is ⬇️
🟣 Constant worry
🟣 Feeling that something bad is going to happen
🟣 Racing thoughts
🟣 Appetite and sleep disturbances
🟣 Inability to sit still
🟣 Physical symptoms such as nausea, hot flashes, and dizziness
If you are experiencing postpartum anxiety, you are not alone, and you are not to blame. You can feel better. Call or text HELP to 800-944-4773 at any time to reach a PSI HelpLine volunteer 💜

It is birth.
Birth is birth.
Whether it happens in your own home.
At the office.
In a gas station bathroom.
At a birthing center.
In a hospital.
Birth is birth.
No matter the gestation.
Regardless of the outcome.
Whether you’re alone or you have support.
Birth is birth.
And all birthing people deserve support and care.

February and March are always the hardest emotionally for me. I sometimes wish I could just disappear knowing how the wave of emotions hit me as the holidays come around knowing that my sweet girls birthday will be here before I know it. I prepare for February trying to celebrate the sweet day of her birth. I try to be kind to myself knowing that day was the best. I got to hear her cry.
I got to hold her and nurse her. I got to do many things.
BUT then. day 18 comes. that day always lingers in the back of my mind.
Knowing the day of her death will come and I will be reminded of the worst part of my life.
Waking up to her lifeless body in my arms. Giving her cpr. Praying that there was a God. One I did not know or if there was really even one who existed.
in 12 days I get to celebrate her 12th birthday.
12 years old my sweet Allyssa Marie.
I am Allyssa's Mom.
Today I am planning on how we will celebrate this year. What would she be wanting for a present. What kind of cake will we get?
How will the kids celebrate her?
All I know is that I have had 12 years of being her mom and so many more to go. Although this has been the hardest parenting I have ever known. Parenting a child in heaven is not easy or kind or anything I ever wanted but I do love being Allyssa's mom.
I love her sweet face. I miss her so much. I wish she was here to celebrate this momentous occasion of her day.

Powerful
My Mom is a survivor,
Or so I've heard it said.
But I can hear her crying at night
When all others are in bed.
I watch her lay awake at night
and go to hold her hand.
She doesn't know I'm with her
to help her understand.
But like the sands on the beach
That never washes away...
I watch over my surviving mom,
Who thinks of me each day.
She wears a smile for others...
A smile of disguise!
But through Heaven's door I see
Tears flowing from her eyes.
My mom tries to cope with death
To keep my memory alive.
But anyone who knows her knows
It is her way to survive.
As I watch over my surviving mom
Through Heaven's open door...
I try to tell her those angels
Protect me forever more.
I know that doesn't help her...
Or ease the burden she bears.
So if you get a chance, go visit her...
And show her that you care.
For no matter what she says...
No matter what she feels.
My surviving mom has a broken heart
That time won't ever heal.
