I just wanted to warn people not to trust A.J. Lao auto mechanic. He had a business Pennines 4 auto in SV.
He wrote an invoice to work on our 1949 Buick super. He took our car. Started working on it then just stopped, yet he was telling my husband he finished the work and he was paid. When we tried to find out about getting our car back and get updates on photos he would make excuses, or ignore us. We wanted ro take it to be painted at another shop.
He got paid over $5000 and didn't complete over half the work he quoted us for and told us was complete. Then he said if we keep asking about out car (which he was holding in his posession for over a year and hadn't sent pictures of our car in 8 months) he angrily took the car without our permission to the police station and dumped it there with the car keys on the seat for just anyone to steal.
He originally promised to drive it to the painter himself and it took him 8 months of asking what was up before he dumped at the police station (without telling the police it was there) because he didn't want to finish the job he was paid for and didn't want us asking about our property.

I just wanted to warn everyone that if tou deal with this shady mechanic this could happen to you too.

Pictures of our buick are on his FB buisness page trying to show off his business if anyone is curious.
Remove if not allowed: I have a Vintage Steel Bumper Hitch that will fit most if not all Chrome Steel Bumpers. From the 50's and what is cool it is adjustable in width and height, as well as angles. My dad had a couple of Gas stations back in Ill and these are like the Old U-Haul. Was used to come to Arizona in 1960. Add another feature to you vehicle. Zazz it up and have it chromed! I'd like to get $100 with cash or barter! Call 520-678-0041 if interested. Thanks in advance for reading. Al

Unfortunately, we are cancelling this year's Cars In The Park 2020, scheduled for October 10th, due to the increase in COVID-19 activity and unpredictability of what happens in October. This decision was made based upon what we need to do to prepare for the show and the unknown environment in October ( ability to hold events?, social distancing?, etc). Stay safe everyone and hope to see you all next year.

Historic Canoa Ranch - Pima County 07/17/2019

Historic Canoa Ranch - Pima County

I’m Valerie Samoy with the Historic Canoa Ranch Team in Green Valley, AZ. Historic Canoa Ranch is managed by Pima County and is the newest, fastest growing attraction in Southern Arizona! The property is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

We’re holding our 1st Canoa Cup Car Show, Saturday, September 21 and would like to invite the Sierra Vista Car Club members. This is a fundraiser to help us restore one of the buildings on our 4800 acre property for a new Visitor Center and Gift shop. We’ve restored the 2 ½ acre Canoa Lake and now offer guided tours, bird walks, educational programs for students… Canoa Cup is open to all cars and classes.

It’s $25 registration fee per car. We’ll have 1st place, 2nd place and 3rd place recognitions. The 1st place trophy is a beautiful, large, hand blown glass cup by a master glass artist. 2nd and 3rd place will have plaque/ certificates. We’ll also have prizes, a raffle, and guests can enjoy vendors, food vendors, drinks, historic presentation, DJ music and more! The restored buildings and exhibits will be open to guests. I’ve attached the flyer and registration form and a couple of photos of Canoa.
