TVS supported Valley Union High School Homecoming on October 23, 2020.
Due to an unexpected change in location of the memorial service, this message has been amended. Please read the obituary (below).

Hello Sierra Vista Veterans,

My friend, Jay Boyd, recently passed away in Sierra Vista.

His memorial is on Wednesday, 18 September 2019 and I am hoping to get some military, veteran and community support.

Jay was Desert Storm veteran, then a long distance trucker. Jay suffered from a traumatic brain injury while at another job. He was home bound for the last few years and short on friends during that time.

Please pass this on and share with other veteran's organizations and ask them to attend his memorial.

I wish I could attend, but I have since moved to Virginia.
Thank you!

TVS members share a common love for Corvettes. We are a not-for-profit organization and we use our vehicles to support local charities throughout our community from the money earned during the year.

PRAYERS TO THE VICTIMS OF LAST NIGHT’S TORNADOES. Last night an EF-2 tornado struck the Bowling Green area which caused massive damage throughout south-central Kentucky and multiple fatalities have been reported. We are still trying to find out the impact of the storm to the Corvette plant, but here is what we know so far.

Multiple sources reported a fire on the roof of the Corvette Assembly Plant. We reached out to the Corvette plant’s Rachel Bagshaw who provided us with an official statement. Here is the latest as of 5:00 pm ET on Dec. 11th in which they confirm the plant will be shut down for at least the week of Dec 13:

We can confirm that the fire that took place as a result of the tornado activity at Bowling Green Assembly plant early Saturday morning (December 11) has caused damage to the facility, including the roof and an employee entrance.

Maintaining a safe work environment for plant employees is our top priority. Therefore, we are cancelling production on first and second shift the week of December 13 as our trained teams work to get tooling, equipment, and the facility space up to standard.

Customers remain at the center of everything we do. The high quality standards that our customers have come to expect of their vehicles continues to be our focus as we manage this event.

At this time, we have no updates or damage reports on any completed vehicles stored behind the Assembly Plant.

The museum sustained some unconfirmed damage in the fire.

☀️Not all General Motors fans may know this, but in 2008, the United States House of Representatives passed a resolution that June 30th would from that point forward be known as “NATIONAL CORVETTE DAY”. Why June 30th, one might ask? Well, on June 30th, 1953, the first-ever Corvette rolled off the assembly line in Flint, Michigan – marking the start of production of America’s first sports car. HAPPY CORVETTE DAY ☀️
