Millie Hastings is not on Facebooki, but she has asked me to post a message thanking everyone for the cards and support. She has been surprised and touched that so many people have taken the time to reach out to her. She also wanted me to share that she is feeling good, progressing nicely and hopes to be able to see everbody soon.
Question: Do you still have the program where you take used desktop and laptop computers and refurbish them and give them to needy kids? I have two of each I'd like to donate. Paul @ 249-9840
Decoration of the Lodge for the holiday season will take place on Black Friday, beginning at 10:00 AM. It's a lot of area to cover, and helpers will be most appreciated. We will tackle the Lodge room after Bingo. It has to be ready for the party which will follow the Shopping Spree on Saturday. THANK YOU.
See you all on Friday and Saturday at the Oktoberfest
Due to an unexpected change in location of the memorial service, this message has been amended. Please read the obituary (below).

Hello Sierra Vista Veterans,

My friend, Jay Boyd, recently passed away in Sierra Vista.

His memorial is on Wednesday, 18 September 2019 and I am hoping to get some military, veteran and community support.

Jay was Desert Storm veteran, then a long distance trucker. Jay suffered from a traumatic brain injury while at another job. He was home bound for the last few years and short on friends during that time.

Please pass this on and share with other military, veteran's and community organizations and ask them to attend his memorial.

I wish I could attend, but I have since moved to Virginia.
Thank you!

Lodge Construction Update: The flooring has been placed in the Lodge and we are now waiting for the final touches. Unfortunately, our House committee chair has informed us that the back bar cabinets will take another week before they can be delivered, and the back bar top does not yet have a delivery date.

We have an amazing Kitchen crew, lead by Inner Guard Mark and Heather Thibodeau that has been working every weekend on the kitchen. We will put a call out for volunteers for help for Saturday and Sunday, 18 and 19 October 2021.

It is with a heavy heart that we report the death of our beloved Brother James "Jim" Willig. Brother Jim had quite the life, and was featured in 2016 in our local newspaper, the Sierra Vista Herald (https://www.myheraldreview.com/a/socoactive/sierra-vista-resident-with-packer-ties-definitely-rooting-for-green-bay/article_d745bc2e-bbfa-11e5-96cc-bf3ad3fd59ba.html) He was a great Elk, friend, father, and husband. He served with honor in the US Marine Corps. He will be missed. Please pray for his family.
