Scholarship opportunity alert!

Premier Alliances' next round of the Founders Scholarship. The opportunity is open to any Cochise County resident with a disability or who is a caretaker of someone with a disability. Awards will support tuition for a full academic year, or certificate-program equivalent, at any accredited educational institution.

Premier Alliances is happy to announce the next round of the Founders Scholarship.

Developed in partnership with the Arizona Community Foundation, the Founders Scholarship is open to any Cochise County resident with a disability or who is a caretaker of someone with a disability.

Today, Steve Seleznow announces his retirement from ACF after 13 years of strong leadership. He has been transformative in the success of the Foundation, helping almost triple the Foundation's assets under management, completing a large-scale technology transition, and leading the Foundation through increased operations to meet the COVID-19 community needs.

Grant Opportunity:

The Arizona Horse Lovers Foundation (AZHL) seeks proposals for grants from 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations that directly or indirectly benefit horses and/or the horse industry. Grants are to be used for the sole purpose of directly or indirectly benefiting horses and/or the horse industry, including but not limited to:

• Trail development and preservation
• Development and upkeep of equine facilities
• Equine-related scholarships
• Arizona equine-related research.
• Grants may be made to Horse Rescue groups but must have measurable outcomes of horses being adopted or having a useful purpose. Organizations that offer “forever homes” will not be considered.

Applications will not be accepted for therapeutic horse programs which benefit people or from organizations that provide forever homes to equines.

Current Grant Opportunities - Arizona Community Foundation The Arizona Community Foundation awards grants through several competitive application processes each year, most of them online. Visit the online grants center to apply.

Arizona Community Foundation of Cochise staff recently had the opportunity to join the American Heart Association-Arizona in delivering life-saving CPR kits to fire districts in Douglas, Elfrida, and Naco, Arizona. These kits were funded through a grant made by the ACF of Cochise competitive grant cycle and will be utilized in training the community how to perform Hands-Only CPR.

We're grateful for the good work of the American Heart Association-Arizona and to the firefighters in these rural communities who work tirelessly to keep our communities safe.

New Profit Inc. in collaboration with Deloitte's Health Equity Institute is investing $100k in up to eight innovative systems-change nonprofits working to solve health disparities across the country, and eight early-stage systems change leaders working to shift the underlying conditions that create health inequities across an individual lifespan and generations.
