The Arizona Horse Lovers Foundation (AZHL) seeks proposals for grants from 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations that directly or indirectly benefit horses and/or the horse industry. Grants are to be used for the sole purpose of directly or indirectly benefiting horses and/or the horse industry, including but not limited to:
• Trail development and preservation
• Development and upkeep of equine facilities
• Equine-related scholarships
• Arizona equine-related research.
• Grants may be made to Horse Rescue groups but must have measurable outcomes of horses being adopted or having a useful purpose. Organizations that offer “forever homes” will not be considered.
Applications will not be accepted for therapeutic horse programs which benefit people or from organizations that provide forever homes to equines.

Arizona Community Foundation of Cochise staff recently had the opportunity to join the American Heart Association-Arizona in delivering life-saving CPR kits to fire districts in Douglas, Elfrida, and Naco, Arizona. These kits were funded through a grant made by the ACF of Cochise competitive grant cycle and will be utilized in training the community how to perform Hands-Only CPR.
We're grateful for the good work of the American Heart Association-Arizona and to the firefighters in these rural communities who work tirelessly to keep our communities safe.
