GREATER SHREVEPORT CHAMBER LAUNCHES
ELECTION EDUCATION INITIATIVE: DECISION 2023
Candidate Video Interviews Available Online
SHREVEPORT, LA – While the Greater Shreveport Chamber does not take a position on candidates for office, we believe that an informed and educated electorate is vital to the robust exercise of our democracy.
Therefore, the Chamber is launching our Election Education Initiative: Decision 2023 to enable our member businesses and the voting public to base their voting decisions on information provided directly from the candidates.
The Greater Shreveport Chamber has invited candidates for public office to participate in video interviews. All candidates for Governor of Louisiana, Caddo Sheriff, State Senate Districts 31,36, 38
and 39, State Representative Districts 2, 4, 6, 7, and 9, and Caddo Commission who are running opposed were invited to participate.
All candidates for a specific office were asked the same questions in the same order and were not provided with the questions in advance. The responses were recorded, and the videos are presented as shot and not edited for content. Candidates without video interviews declined or were unable to participate.
The videos are available at https://www.shreveportchamber.org/d2023/ and via the Chamber’s
website and will remain available until the election cycle completes in early November.

The YPI - Young Professionals Initiative, a program of the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce, introduced the 40 Under Forty Class of 2023 last month and four of our hardworking employees made the list! Shocker Creal, Clarke Jackson, Dominique Horton Washington and Brittany Willis, please join me in congratulating our employees and colleagues.
Best wishes,
Mayor Arceneaux
