Originally called the Christopher Street Liberation Day March, the first-ever Pride March followed a route from Greenwich Village up to Central Park, culminating in a gathering on Sheep Meadow. These photos by Diana Davies capture the joy and liberation felt at this historic occasion. Happy Pride!
