Well, the secret is out…

So many things are happening in my life right now and I feel so much gratitude and some nervousness, too. I feel many things actually, and there is really so much to say, but that’s what this book is for…

I’ve had it on my heart for quite some time now to expressively compile into one place this journey I’ve been on this soon to be 10 years. Seeing so many of the visual elements come together has really had me nostalgic. Compiling files and writing about moments that take me down memory lane, remembering the laughs, the tears, the fear, the failure, and the triumphs…I am incredibly raw in this 10 chapter autobiography of my work and life during this time. I can’t wait to share it with you all, dropping teasers along the way over the coming months before the initial release. If I have ever struck your curiosity, this is the book for you. It’s going to be a busy year ahead!

As we begin design on the cover for volume 10 of I always reminisce on some of my favorite cover work. This one was particularly fun and I loved the Havana feel to it.

Having and be a part of the official launch of .shv but also help tell the visual story for the cover feature was a great day of collaboration and fun.

Not many would know this but I actually really love to do maternity portraits…

It’s even better when the expecting mother has a special place in her heart for not exactly your run of the mill maternity photoshoot. is a dream client. We have always clicked on a creative level that has resulted in work we have both been proud of. This was a pleasure and I’m so glad she thought of me for this special time in her life.

Looking back on volume 7 of , this was a fun shot that I took of for . The dramatic color pops and her gaze into the camera really worked. We did this as something to just try and see how we liked it, and it ended up being the lead image into their article. 👏🏻

Katy Larsen is many things to me, but first, she’s a friend that has always stepped up, stepped out and has given of herself in ways that is not even always expected or asked of her. If she believes in you she goes above and beyond. I was really excited to photograph her for features in both volume 8, and 9. Katy is and continues to be a true gem in the creative community and I’m always honored to work with her.

It’s been a while since I posted on our official page since gets so much of the spotlight. One of my favorite things to do is photograph interesting portraits for the magazine, it’s the creative outlet that gives my work a moment to take new directions and I wanted to post about a recent shoot I did for volume 9, with . Steven is truly a gem and one my very best friends, after all this time of knowing him and his artistry it was overdue diving into his work as a creative and I had such a great time both writing about him and capturing these moments that I will remember always.
