Shreveport’s theatre community celebrates the life of Neil Johnson. Neil’s discerning eye, through the lens of his camera, captured extraordinary images during our era. We are fortunate that Neil melded his creative passion with local live theatre—chronicling decades of theatrical productions, now preserved for the ages. Neil Johnson captured our northwest Louisiana community through his writing and photography, including his “Portrait 2000” millennium project. Neil was proud that his grandfather was an SLT actor and supporter when the theatre formed in the ‘20s. Neil was an ardent supporter of every genre of the Arts, along with his wife Cindy Gleason Johnson. His passing is an incredible loss for our community. Our thoughts are with Cindy and the Johnson family. https://www.njphoto.com

JAMIE KILLEEN - OBITUARY
Jamie Killeen Obituary (2023) - Shreveport, LA - The Times-Picayune View Jamie Patricia Killeen's obituary, send flowers and sign the guestbook.
JAMIE PATRICIA KILLEEN, SLT Box Office Manager (1998-2023)
A funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 204 Patton Avenue, at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. Internment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, 2300 Texas Avenue. Following the burial, at approximately noon, there will be a gathering of friends at the Shreveport Little Theatre & Academy, 812 Margaret Place.
Jamie was originally from south Louisiana, but adopted Shreveport as her home. She was a graduate of Centenary College of Louisiana and an avid reader. Jamie managed B. Dalton Book Store in Mall St. Vincent before joining SLT as box office manager. Jamie was the public's first contact and "voice" of the theatre and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Jamie's soft and gentle personality was a calming force in our busy organization. Our nonprofit family, patrons, board of directors, and staff mourn the loss of our friend, as we celebrate her beautiful spirit. Jamie dedicated her life to the success of the Shreveport Little Theatre and Academy--and helped bring happiness and culture to our community.
