On March 10,2017 I became Splendora High School’s “Willie The Wildcat” and when I took the part I…
-Became a 2 Time All American Nominated Mascot
-Became an All American Mascot
-Was rated Best Mascot in the State of Texas in 2018
-Was requested for 2018’s Florida Citrus Bowl as their Mascot
And in late 2018… I quit…
I quit because I was asked to change how my “Willie” was and I refused.
2024: I noticed that my old school hasn’t had a real Willie The Wildcat in years because nobody wanted to do it. I remembered the great times of me doing my “Thunderstruck” performance before every football game in the middle of the field and interacting with people and it made me realize that that feeling should be felt by kids who want to BE mascots. And then I came up with this Mascot Camp that will put all of everything I learned from back then to what I’ve learned now from establishing a personality to character movements to mascot skits and even the technical aspects as far as splicing music for the skit.
In June of 2026 I am going to host BMK Conglomerates first “Willie’s Mascot Camp”
Enrollment begins NOW!

One of the greatest honors of my time as Willie The Wildcat was being one of the mascots for one of the most impactful football games in Texas and it was for a really great kid.
William Layne Rodgers along with his group of friends accepted me the new kid in their group when I was in the 7th grade, as a kid who moved around a lot that meant a lot to me. Eventually I made friends at Moorehead Junior High and he was always a shining light in the halls as far as kindness.
I was in my second year of mascotting and I learned that my 7th grade friend had just lost his leg due to Osteosarcoma “Bone Cancer” and they were selling T-Shirts to earn money for medical expenses.
I had learned that Splendora High School had Caney Creek High school were about to play each other in a football game so I decided to buy a shirt for Willie to wear at the game.
Later that day a screenshot of me sharing my story of Layne went to Facebook and it started something I would’ve never thought. The entire SHS Cheer Squad and Football Team decided to buy shirts and that wasn’t it.
After I was interviewed on ABC 13 about my story of Layne we helped make the game entirely dedicated to Layne and people all in the Buddy Moorehead Stadium had Layne Shirts on.
7 Years Ago Layne joined the lord and he leave big footprints for many to fill as far as his kind heart and his story will live on.
35% of all proceeds from Willie’s Mascot Camp will go directly to the American Cancer Society specifically to the Bone Cancer Foundation in honor of Layne.
Layne is our superhero
