Happy 4th of July. Apologize we didn’t get to see you all at the parade as we caught a call. Hope you all have a happy and safe 4th from all of us at TSFD.
June 2024 Call Summary for the Town of Sheboygan Fire Dept and First Responders:
59 calls total
45 EMS calls
14 Fire calls
Of the 14 Fire Calls, we had:
6 Commercial Fire Alarms
3 Motor Vehicle Accidents
2 Medical Assists
1 Natural Gas Odor
1 Residential Fire Alarm
1 Smoke Scare (Appliance Issue)
May they RIP…..
Pick up your shovels boys there's smoke in the air,
Lightning has struck and they need us there.
Into the trucks and gear, fire knows not the cost,
If it's not stopped, innocent lives will be lost.
The fire is running and there's no time to spare,
Dig that line and drag that hose, bring all forces to bear.
But, the wind's come up and something is wrong,
Run boys, run, that fire is too strong!
Pull off your packs and into your shelters,
Pray for our children and for their mothers.
The fire has passed and so have we.
Into the wind like the smoke through the trees.
After they stop that fire they call Yarnell Hill,
Our brothers will honor us and drink toasts to their fill.
We’re joining our brothers in a legendary crew.
If others join us tomorrow, please let them be few."
- Matt Greenhalgh

*****LOST ITEM******
If you lost a bag during our food trucks at the park event tonight, please send us a message to arrange returning it to the rightful owner. Please share so we can make sure this bag makes it home. 😉
Last year we took delivery of our new EMS vehicle. There was also interest in updating our command vehicle that we have to match. With the help of The Sign Shop of Sheboygan and Pomasl Fire Equipment, Inc. we were able to make that a reality. They are both sporting our new graphics and new emergency lighting. This will make it safer for our members and for you to see us!
We will be hosting Food Truck Fridays at the Fire House Park, 3805 Cty Road Y on the following Fridays: June 14th, July 26th, August 16th and September 13th.
We are raising funds for a memorial with the sale of beer, hard seltzers, soda, and water. We have new and old food trucks and we can't wait to see you all this Friday. The splashpad is open and we have plenty of picnic tables, or bring your own chairs.
Starting time will be 4pm this Friday night! See you there!!!
Our 4th annual Tunnel to Towers 5k is September 14th at 9am.

A big shoutout to our EMS side of the house, and all of our Brothers and Sisters in EMS this week. Thank You!
Last night. We practiced search and rescue in a no-visibility environment and got some practice in the command role.
We also discussed the potential for severe weather this evening and what our response would like.
Please be aware tonight’s weather could get ugly. Be sure to have multiple ways to receive weather alerts. If there is flooding in your area remember; turn around, don’t drown. Last but not least, know your safe spot in the event these storms produce tornados. As always, stay safe!
This week is national police week. In honor of our fallen brothers and sisters in blue, the Sheboygan County Sheriffs Department and City of Sheboygan Police Department will be having bag pipers at their stations playing “Amazing Grace at 11:55PM tonight.
If you can make it, it is a very moving ceremony. Please keep all Law Enforcement in your thoughts not just this week but every week as they battle to keep our communities safe!
This morning, a few of our members tested out the new dry hydrant that was installed in the North Town development. This dry hydrant is piped into a large retention pond that can be used as another water source for fighting fires, should the need arise.
We have a few members on this all volunteer team.
We want to thank all of the following sponsors that helped make this another successful brat fry.

This week is National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week.
Although Chris may have retired, this is a great video of our Sheboygan County Communications Center. Every day these men and women answer the call. Often times in the background and forgotten, but ALWAYS the first one to provide assistance to those in need.
Thank you to our great team at Sheboygan County Emergency Communications Center.
