Warriner High School students answered the call from Governor Evers to decorate the Capitol's holiday tree with ornaments celebrating 125 years of Wisconsin's state parks! They chose a park to research for an essay, designed and created ornaments as a visual representation. Such a cool project!

Today, Warriner Art students had their monthly visit to the John Michael Kohler Arts Center! Students met two professional artists in the Workplace studio, and , and participated in interactive experiences that challenged our relationships with failure. We played games such as "Wheel of Vulnerabilities" and "Dice of Shame," playful, hands-on activities that reframe failure as a natural and essential part of learning and growth. Students were encouraged to reflect on their own encounters with failure and connect with the experiences of classmates, fostering a collective exploration of resilience, creativity, and self-discovery. I'm very proud of my students strength in being vulnerable, even if a couple took videos of me when I was walking like a chicken... Thank you to Nora, Lisa, Risa and Arlo for hanging out with us today!

Today at Maywood, Warriner students assisted with the county drone rescue training all day! Our teachers coordinated with the rescue personnel to stage and carry out various scenarios throughout the park. Students were patient, flexible, and followed instructions well. Their efforts could potentially help these agencies save lives!
Chief Pilot, Adam Harden: "I would like to thank Warriner High School for participating in this training. Using live subjects always makes our training more realistic and matches what we see on actual callouts."
Thank you to the Sheboygan County Sheriff Department,
City of Sheboygan Fire Department,
City of Sheboygan Police Department,
City of Sheboygan Parks Department,
Manitowoc Police Department, and
Ozaukee Sheriff Department for rescuing us!
Thanks for this great opportunity to participate in rescue trainings with law enforcement!
Today, drone teams from Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office, Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office and Manitowoc Police Department participated in a training session alongside the Sheboygan Fire Department and Sheboygan Police Department at the Maywood - Ellwood H. May Environmental Park.
We would like to thank George D. Warriner High School for participating in the training by allowing us to use their students for the day. The students not only had a fun time participating as subjects for the missions, but also learned a lot on how public safety agencies can come together on larger events to accomplish a shared goal.
Our teams worked diligently on communications and search and rescue tactics throughout the day. Both drone operators and observers worked together on simulated search and rescue and law enforcement training missions that included sending ground teams out to students location. The students acted out various scenarios when approached by search and rescue teams or law enforcement officers.
Thank you to all of our participants today, as the skills and techniques that we practiced upon today will be used to help save lives in the future.
