As 2025 nears, it allows for a quick moment to reflect on the many soccer related accomplishments 2024 brought for LUFC players, teams, the club and the community. There was happiness and heartbreak on “the pitch” but LUFC always represented, and everyone should be proud of their efforts, no matter the outcome! New programs, recognition, and supporting causes also added to a great year! LUFC continues to be a big part of the community while the community continues to support and drive the success of LUFC! Thank you all! So, we all know there are many, many more highlights and accomplishments from this past year (could have a Top 1000), but here is a quick peak at the Top 10 stories of 2024!

Number #1 – two LUFC soccer teams, the U18 Girls and U14 Boys, traveled to Wichita, Kansas, in June 2024 to participate in the USYS National Presidents Cup Championships. Both teams reached the Championship match, battled hard, and ended as Finalists. Hats off to both teams!

Number #2 - two local girls high school teams, Cedar Grove and Plymouth, once again make trips to the WIAA State Championships to attempt to bring home a Gold Ball. LUFC players were present on both teams. Plymouth repeated as State Champions while Cedar Grove brought home their first state championship! Awesome!

Number #3 – two local boys high school teams, Sheboygan Falls and Kiel, made their first trips in school history to the WIAA State Championships. LUFC players were present on both teams. Kiel succumbed in the semi’s while Sheboygan Falls did bring home a Silver Ball. Quite the accomplishment for both teams – you made your communities proud!

Number #4 - the LUFC Women’s team plays inaugural game at UW-Green Bay. Their effort, skill and determination resulted in a victory over Green Bay Glory. The future looks bright!

Number #5 – numerous LUFC veteran players are recognized in their respective collegiate conferences for their accomplishments; first team, second team, and honorable mention. Congrats!

Number #6 – numerous LUFC players commit to universities to continue their soccer careers. See No. #5 – LUFC has confidence in you! Congrats!

Number #7 – LUFC nears completion of phase #1 of the southside soccer complex – fields and goals in place – parking lot to be completed in Spring 2025.

Number #8 – two graduating seniors and LUFC players, Vitale and Herzog, represent at the Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Association High School All-Star game in Madison, WI. Nice work!

Number #9 – U14 Girls demonstrate what is “most important” – supporting others. Pink socks were donned to highlight cancer awareness. Great job girls!

Number #10 – LUFC donates soccer balls that reach soccer enthusiasts in Africa. Making others happy is the name of the game!

Many smiles and fun were had in 2024 along with accomplishments and long-lasting friendships – LUFC is looking forward to 2025! Have a Happy New Year!

LUFC Juniors Program (4K/5K – Boys and Girls)
January 6 - February 14, 2025

Youngsters love to run and play in the snow, but it doesn’t really partner well when you want to play a game of soccer – so, no problem, take it indoors – join all the other 4K/5K’s who are going to have the best of both worlds…

• Boys 4K/5K and Girls 4K/5K sessions
• 6 Week Indoor Program
• 1 training session each week - 2 days to choose from
• Sheboygan Location: KCU Fit 4110 WI-42
• Time: 4:00pm - 4:45pm
• Bring a water bottle.
• Players should wear indoor soccer shoes or sneakers and shin guards (preferred, but not required)

The LUFC Juniors programs are safe, inclusive and structured programs designed to encourage our youngest athletes in their first organized soccer experience.

Each week players enjoy a 45-minute session that begins with a 2v2 or 3v3 scrimmage. This is followed by skill introduction and practice through interactive group games focused on teamwork, soccer skill development, and body coordination. Each session ends with another 2v2 or 3v3 scrimmage where players can be encouraged to try out the new skills.

As the college soccer play-off season nears conclusion, many players are also being recognized in their respective conferences for their season achievements. It is always great to see former Lakeshore United FC players make either an impact in the tournament or be selected as all-conference players. So, as always, past players continue to make us proud even though they are no longer wearing Lakeshore United FC colors. To name a few, Ashley English (MIT), Breleigh Navis (Marian University), Brooke Braga (Concordia University), Abby Reinl (EIU), Ingrid Steinbok (Lakeland University) and Payton Navis (Whitewater). Great job ladies!

Congratulations to the Sheboygan Falls High School Boys soccer team for reaching the WIAA Division 3 Boys State soccer championship game to be played this coming Saturday against St. Augustine Prep. In addition, congratulations to the Kiel High School Boys soccer team for reaching the Final Four of Division 4. Two firsts for both local soccer programs! Both teams have past and present Lakeshore United FC players, and it is great watching both teams succeed and bring “sporting” pride to their communities.

Final day of the St. Louis Scott Gallagher Fall Classic and both LUFC U19 G Navy and LUFC U14 G Navy wished to end the weekend with victories and secure their division championships. The 19’s started the day early against NTX Celtic FC from North Texas and handily defeated the Texans to go undefeated. As the 19’s headed out of town, the 14’s kicked off play against Kolping Kicks FC from Missouri. The game was physical but the 14’s also prevailed to go undefeated and secure the 2nd championship of the day for LUFC. Congrats to both teams and representing the club in top form at the SLSC Fall Classic!

Sunday coffee always tastes better with a Saturday championship.... way to go girls!

10/19/2024

Today, with one WYSA Presidents Cup championship title secured earlier in the day by the 19’s, the LUFC U18 Girls Navy team also had aspirations to bring home their own WYSA Presidents Cup championship title. The 18’s were pitted against the Madison 56ers, and the winner would be crowned champion! This game was not to be determined easily and both teams went into half knotted at 0-0. The 2nd half continued with both teams battling but LUFC struck first by taking advantage of a free kick, 1-0 lead. The 56ers were not going down without a fight and made it 1-1 contest minutes later but LUFC was determined not to be denied. LUFC took advantage with a well-placed run leading to a 2-1 lead and shortly after cemented the game with a lofting free kick that was placed in the back of the net with a header. 3-1 Victory! The 18’s punched their ticket to the USYS Midwest Regional President Cup Championships that take place in St. Louis June 2025. Congrats to the LUFC U18 Girls Navy team - you worked hard, represented and carried on the excellence of LUFC soccer!

10/19/2024

Today, the LUFC U19 Girls Navy team competed in the WYSA Presidents Cup Championship game against FC Green Bay at Voigt Park. The U19s “came to play” and kept their undefeated tournament streak intact as they defeated FC Green Bay 4-0. LUFC U19 Girls will represent Wisconsin at the USYS Midwest Regional Championships to be hosted in St. Louis June 13-17, 2025. Congratulations U19’s and thanks for representing LUFC!

About Us

Lakeshore United FC (LUFC) formed in 1985 to facilitate the youth soccer experience. It began with recreational teams and has grown into a club that provides youth of all abilities opportunities to learn, grow, and mature in the sport and life.

With over 1,800 athletes from over 20 communities, LUFC fields over 145 teams throughout our Juniors, Academy, Community Soccer, Select and TOPSoccer programs.

"The best day of the week is TOPSoccer day." TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) is a community-based training and team placement program for young athletes with disabilities, organized by youth soccer association volunteers. The program is designed to bring the opportunity of learning and playing soccer to any boy or girl who has a mental or physical disability. This free program pairs athletes with special needs 1-to-1 with a player volunteer for buddy-assisted drills and scrimmages. Players, buddies, and parents alike will all tell you that their favorite day of the week is TOPSoccer day.

The Juniors Program is a fun, 5-session program held each spring and fall for 4K thru 2nd Grade players. One of the main goals of the Juniors Program is to provide a safe, inclusive, and structured play so that our youngest athletes can be encouraged and grow in their first organized soccer experience.

The Community Soccer Program is for all area youth from 1st through 8th grade. The purpose of community soccer is to provide and foster organized youth soccer for girls and boys at a fun yet challenging level. The philosophy of our program is to promote participation, emphasize sportsmanship and develop skills with an appreciation for the game of soccer.
