What do you like better ... Instagram photos that look like they are AI generated ... or real photos from a real person?

Hiroshima remains one of my absolute favorite places to visit in Japan. It's very peaceful and the residents are very kind.

Soft shell turtle is a dish you can get in Japan. It's also somewhat common in the south in the USA ... I liked the soup but was not impressed by the meat. I think the company made the meal more enjoyable.

Kyoto locals are fed up with tourists dragging giant suitcases onto packed city buses.

And the city is now pushing back hard.

• Locals say buses meant for daily life are becoming impossible to use during tourism peaks
• Tourists argue buses are often the cheapest and easiest way to reach hotels and attractions

The problem exploded as Kyoto’s narrow streets and aging transit system struggled under tourism pressure.

Now the debate is getting intense:

Should tourists adapt to local transport rules — or should cities handle the tourism boom better?
