Our Rescue Thoroughbred (Coal) is finally making some impressive strides as far as weight gain and hoof growth. We can not thank our impressive farrier Enough. She has truly made a huge difference for our boy and we are so happy that we have found a farrier for our rescue ponies who understands them and their needs!
If you are ever thinking or getting a rescue horse… do it
It needs a couple pounds? Do it.
It’s got a behavior problem? Do it.
It needs chiropractic work? Do it.
It has thrush or hasn’t seen the farrier in a bit? Do it.
The best thing I ever did was start rescuing horses. Yeah you may not be able to ride them the first day, week, or even month after you got it, but when you do… when you click with that horse.. the feeling is like nothing you’ve ever felt before. Win your first check, ribbon, or trophy on that horse? Not only did you teach that horse something BUT you saved that horses life and showed it that it is loved. That’s a feeling like no other. You’ll never get tired of that feeling and then you get to look back and see where you started and it all just makes sense.
Rescue horses are the most priceless animal because they KNOW you lost sleep over them, cried when they fell, hugged them when they needed it, and taught them when no one else cared to. And that is the best feeling there is!
Hello everybody! We are looking for some old wood, tin, or anything that you can find that might help us build a couple run in sheds for our rescue horses. We are really in need for this since our current fields do not have run ins. Please if you have anything that you might think would be helpful we would GREATLY appreciate the donation! Thank you!!
