If you're looking for a way to donate or get involved this Lent, The Oconee Project would like to share some needs and information for the Foothills Care Center
Foothills Care Center, with facilities located in both Seneca and Clemson, provides care, counseling, mentorship, and education for pregnant women and their support partners. Free medical-grade pregnancy tests and limited OB ultrasounds are given on-site, along with free and confidential counseling on options for anyone weighing decisions regarding their pregnancy. Community referrals are given to those in need, connecting expecting mothers with vital resources. Pregnancy and parenting education is offered for those needing information on fundamental parenting techniques and birthing, incentivized by a “earn while you learn” program providing diapers, wipes, bottles, formula and more for class attendees in the Baby Boutique on-site. Men and support partners can receive mentorship and counseling, as well.
Also available are programs to support healing from past traumas, child loss, miscarriages, and abortions. Low-cost personal counseling is offered, as well (this is the only charged service at FCC).
