Disaster Response Ministries International (DRMI-FL) Chaplains were honored to assist The Salvation Army Disaster Emergency Services at the Hillsborough County Disaster & Recovery Community Expo on June 13, 2026, at Feeding Tampa Bay.

Our team supported the Salvation Army canteen truck, shared hurricane preparedness materials, and connected with community members about disaster readiness and recovery resources.

Thank you to Major Mark Woodcock, of the Salvation Army Tampa Area Command for the opportunity to represent Disaster Emergency Services and serve our community. Together, we are helping Tampa Bay prepare today and recover faster tomorrow.

On Saturday, June 7, 2026 - Disaster Response Ministries International DRMI-CERT Chaplains were honored to participate and assist alongside the Wimauma CERT Team and the Boricuas De Corazón CERT Team during the amazing Wholesome Community Ministries Health & Food Festival in Wimauma, Florida.

This wonderful FREE community outreach brought together organizations, ministries, healthcare providers, emergency response teams, and volunteers to serve families throughout our community. The event provided:

• Health screenings
• Vision assistance for children and adults
• Healthy groceries
• Haircuts
• Family resources and social services
• Inflatables, hay rides, and family fun
• Community preparedness and outreach information

We are grateful for the opportunity to stand together in service with so many incredible community partners, volunteers, and organizations dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this outreach a success and to all the families who came out to participate. Together, we continue building stronger, safer, and healthier communities through compassion, preparedness, and service.

BREAKING: A powerful 6.1 magnitude earthquake struck off the northwest coast of Cuba on Monday afternoon, sending low-frequency seismic waves across surrounding waters. Though the tremor triggered widespread reports of light shaking across Southwest and Central Florida, authorities confirm there is no threat of a tsunami. No significant injuries or structural damages have been reported at this time.
