Operating as usual
The Sedalia Rails 2021 show ended today and it was a great success with 85 table of trains and a large turn out of attendees. The Pettis County Historical Society wants to thank all who attended and all the fine vendors of trains and other railroad items.

The Union Pacific Big Boy #4014 will be passing through Sedalia on August 31, 2021 arriving at 10:145 AM and departing at 11:30 AM.

The Sedalia Mo Park District has refurbished the Liberty Land Train in Liberty Park. Since 1954 the 15 inch gauge railroad has entertained generations of area children. The train operates Saturday and Sunday afternoons until Labor Day. The train will also be operating, weather permitting, during the Sedalia Rails Train show on November 6 2021. This will be the 9th Annual show in the Liberty Park Convention Center.

A Missouri Pacific freight train passes the old Sedalia, MO depot in 1948. In 1952 the depot second story was removed and the lower half "modernized" . It was remodeled again in the early 2000s and is today's AMTRAK depot. AMTRAK is a great way for visitors to come to the Sedalia Rails Train Show on November 6.
