Heading to alterations immediately after delivery because summer is here and we are 30 days away from and farmer Rachel’s wedding out here on the Boring Farm!

Soggy girl turns 15 years old today!
Truthfully, I didn’t really expect her to make it this long after adopting her at 9 years old.
Even though she is now deaf and mostly blind, she still chases after those pesky birds that fly overhead.
Always protecting the chickens.
In true old lady deaf dog style, she is currently sleeping in, curled up on her fluffy bed.
If I don’t wake her every morning, she will sleep in until noon easily.
She likes being awake and with us, still trying to hang in with all the action the farm has to offer, but I find myself having to keep her in the house more hours of the day.
She can’t handle the heat anymore or the pace that daily farm life entails but she is still the favorite farm dog!
(she’s the only farm dog😊😘🐕)

Here’s to you Soggy momma!
I will carry you up every set of stairs, buy you every fluffy bed, and give you every ounce of loving you’ll ever allow.
You’re the best old lady ever!

Swipe to the end to see a picture of Soggy doggy’s first day here on the farm.
Makes me realize how white her face has become….

Super grateful for these two, documenting this girl over the years!

Out here picking this morning a quick little box for to test out in their fridge!

If all things go well, our fruit will be available for purchase by Monday morning with a fresh new delivery every Monday and Thursday!
This is a big step up for Boring Farm. Selling our fruit in any market style beside u-pick has never been in our business model, until now!

Also, you know you’ve picked a lot of fruit over the years when you guess just from the feel of the box what the weight is and you’re spot on!
I guessed a 3-4lb box and it weighed 3.6lbs!

4 years…….

4 very long years in the making…..

We are finally ready for this next chapter for Boring Farm! Rebuilding existing agricultural housing here in Sonoma County has been the most difficult process. Why you ask?
Between county inspectors saying conflicting standards for what passes as proper building “code” and being advised by multiple personal in the county permit office the wrong ways to apply for a very basic permit, wasting my time and money……

I can honestly say I’m surprised this project hasn’t taken longer than 4 years.
