Dear Builders: When a client of yours needs help picking every fixture and finish, who usually ends up walking them through it?

You know the client who can't decide on tile? Or the one who picks a $4,800 tub filler when the primary bath allowance is $12,000, and they still need a shower trim, two lavs, and a toilet? Or the one who changes their mind two weeks before the trade needs to order?

That's what AVCO Design solves. We focus on the messy middle of a build: helping your clients pick every fixture and finish, working within the allowances you've set, and handing you a clean spec package your trades can actually build from.

If your client wants to upgrade an item, we will handle the conversation with them and surface the outcome to you in writing as a documented upgrade.

We attend weekly site meetings and sign off on field deviations in real time. We catch things at the rough-in, not on the punch list.

Our checkpoints are built around construction phases. We show up for blocking, MEP rough-in, tile dry-lay, and countertop templating because those are the moments when decisions are most expensive to undo.

We continue with these clients on furniture, art, and window treatments after the build is done. That's a separate scope from yours and gives us a real reason to leave them happy with the build, not just finished with it.

Thank you .mcconahey for sharing our project on cover of Sonoma Home section today. We appreciate the opportunity to highlight what we do and the importance and meaning it has for us.

The Kulinich Levy family was gracious to host us and share their story so publicly, I am grateful for their hospitality and openness. Their home was a collaborative effort and I’m so proud of what we created.

We believe interior design directly impacts our clients daily lives. We know that bringing solutions to make spaces more functional, efficient, and beautiful makes each day, and therefore their lives better. This is why we do what we do.

One thing I have realized this year is my passion for creating spaces for gathering.

Helping our clients prepare their homes as places for hospitable everyday living is part of what we do.

We see the importance of bringing people together and are honored to help create spaces for this purpose.

Welcome. We added the archways to enclose a formal entry area and allow for progression through the space instead of walking into one big room. We wanted to allow for discovery and visual separation. Sometimes open plans are not it and we need some dividing walls!
