Kettlebell flows look cool. That’s not the only reason I do them.
Flows challenge something a lot of people miss:
the ability to move from one skill to the next without losing control.
Featured:
🔝Switch Snatches
🅱️360 Cleans
3️⃣Alternating Hand-to-Hand Lateral Swings
I’m training:
⚡️ Power — accelerating and redirecting force
🧠 Coordination — linking multiple movement patterns together
🏒 Athleticism — changing direction and producing force from different angles
💪 Grip & Core Strength — controlling the bell while it moves around the body
❤️ Conditioning — sustaining power without getting sloppy
The goal isn’t to survive the flow—it’s to make complex movement look simple. 🥅
That’s where skill, strength, and conditioning start working together. 🔔

3rd Annual Zombie Apocalypse Tournament at Snoopy’s Home Ice. 🧟🏒🏟️
This weekend was about a lot more than hockey for me.
First time getting to play hockey with my nephew, while my sister and my nephew’s girlfriend came up from Southern California, and my folks came out from South Dakota to be there. That’s the kind of stuff you remember.
It also meant a lot getting to continue honoring my brother through the “Leatherhead Player of the Game” award. Scroll through to see all the players who worked their tails off on the ice and helped keep the good times rolling off it too.
Huge thank you to the Santa Rosa Zombies, the refs, DJs, MCs, photographers, rink staff, volunteers, and everybody behind the scenes who make this tournament happen every year. And thank you to Rosie for getting the Punk Rock Hockey Club crew all together heading into the weekend.
Three years in and this tournament somehow keeps getting better every year. Can’t wait for next year. ❤️🏒

How to maximize uneven kettlebells 🛎️🔔
Rack one bell, anchor the heavier one. ⚓️
Now the body has to solve:
• offset loading
• bracing
• hip stability
• grip strength
• posture
• force transfer
Featured here 👇
32kg anchored + 16kg racked
= 48kg of organized chaos. ⚖️
Anchored (Gorilla) Squats are one of my favorite ways to build:
⚡️ leg strength
⚡️ core stability
⚡️ athletic positioning
⚡️ real-world balance under uneven load
Because sports, fighting, and life rarely load you evenly.
Train accordingly. 🌲

What makes me happy… this!
Year 4 with at CAHA.
It still hits a little different every time.
Hockey was always our thing growing up—
and losing my brother right before the first tournament (2023)… that part stays with you.
But this team… the Zombies…
they don’t replace him—no one could.
They just make sure I’m not out there alone.
That’s family.
I’d rather ride with this group and lose than win with anyone else.❤️🔥🧟♂️

Everyone has opinions on short shorts—
usually from people who don’t train legs.
Leg training isn’t just aesthetic.
It’s output.
It builds:
• power ⚡️
• speed 🏒
• durability 🛠️
Cleans + Push Press =
force from the ground → through the body.🔗
That’s power you can use—
In the ring and on the ice. 🏒👊
Legs you can be proud of?
Just a byproduct of the work.🌲

Lateral KB swings 🔄
Side-to-side power with intent.
Basic technique breakdown:
• Start in an athletic stance that feels balanced
• Load into the working hip with controlled rotation (hips lead, torso follows)
• Core stays braced— don’t overarch or crunch, stay tall
• Drive the floor away and let the bell float
• Arms guide out to the side—hips do the work
Why I like these:
• Build change-of-direction power
• Improves deceleration control
•Strengthen rotational and anti-rotation capacity
• Carries over to skating, striking, and cutting
Simple movement. Big transfer when it’s done right 💯📈
Save this for your next training day and let me know—where do you feel this working most?

A year ago, this was just a dream… today, it’s a space filled with sweat, laughter, and growth.
Opening my own training studio this past year came with A LOT of lessons that I couldn’t have gone toe-to-toe with alone.

To my family, friends, and clients — thank you for the support, patience, and encouragement 🫂
Every challenge taught me something.
Every lesson made this space stronger.
Grateful for where we’ve been — and fired up for what’s ahead! 🙏📈
Now… gear up, throw down, and dominate what’s next! 🏒💥👊
